Which project records may help with RPL?
Work samples, records and references can support an evidence review.
What should you understand?
Project records can help explain what you did and learned. An assessor needs to understand your own contribution, especially where a plan or report was created by a team. Suitable evidence depends on the units and the recognition process.
What should you ask or practise?
Ask which samples and references would be useful before collecting a large portfolio. Obtain permission for employer documents and agree how sensitive details should be handled. A document with your name on it is not automatically sufficient evidence of every skill described in the unit.
What should you compare?
- Evidence for the course offer
- Your learning goal and circumstances
- Unconfirmed conditions
What remains unconfirmed?
Your evidence, unit equivalence, recognition outcome and any gap-training costs need an individual provider assessment.
What can you do next?
Agree evidence types and redaction with the assessor.
